Our Mission: Provide resources and outreach to enrich the lives of people in our community by supporting the programs and services of the Milwaukie Center.

The Friends of the Milwaukie Center is the fundraising arm of the Milwaukie Center. Through events and our generous donors we are able to support the Center in providing valued meals services to those in need, assistance in a variety of Social Services and a place of comfort and community for our neighbors and the seniors of North Clackamas

The Milwaukie Center, a division of the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District, is a place for the community to gather, grow and connect. The Center is a link to wellness, recreation and essential life services for older adults and their families.

The Milwaukie Center Meals On Wheels program is an independent operation that serves over 250 meals per day - over 65,000 meals each year - to the seniors of North Clackamas County. Our in-house chefs prepare nutritious and delicious offerings and an army of volunteers delivers them each day rain or shine...so no senior goes hungry!

The Social Services Department at the Milwaukie Center provides a wide range of help to our senior population. Wellness checks and case management are utilized by some of the district's most vulnerable residents. Respite care, memory classes, healthy living seminars, support groups tax aide and legal aid clinics are some community resources typically available at the Milwaukie Center.

Regular blood pressure and foot care clinics are offered as well as referrals to other professional health services

In 'normal' times the halls of the Milwaukie Center are buzzing with activity. Yoga and fitness classes, woodworking and oil painting workshops, a 50 member ukulele group, Mah Jongg, bingo and bridge groups provide our patrons a warm community atmosphere. The Center also has a billiards room, self-check library and computer stations available.

Our four Center busses offer daily rides to/from the Center, weekly grocery shopping and many adventurous and scenic trips each month.
