A benefit for Meals On Wheels and Social Services Programs

Milwaukie Center

The Milwaukie Center, operated by North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District, provides resources for older adults and their families — and a place for the community to gather, grow and contribute. The Center offers a wide array of services to meet the diverse needs of the community, including nutrition programs, social services, special events, and recreation and enrichment programs.

Friends of Milwaukie Center

Our Mission: Provide resources and outreach to enrich the lives of people in our community by supporting the programs and services of the Milwaukie Center.

The Friends of the Milwaukie Center is the fundraising arm of the Milwaukie Center. Through events and our generous donors we are able to support the Center in providing valued meals services to those in need, assistance in a variety of Social Services and a place of comfort and community for our neighbors and the seniors of North Clackamas.

Nutrition Program — Meals on Wheels

The Milwaukie Center Meals on Wheels program is an independent operation that serves over 275 meals per day — over 71,000 meals each year — to the seniors of North Clackamas County. Our in-house chefs prepare nutritious and delicious offerings and an army of volunteers delivers them each day rain or shine... so no senior goes hungry!

Social Services

The Social Services Department at the Milwaukie Center provides a wide range of help to our senior population. Wellness checks and case management are utilized by some of the district’s most vulnerable residents. Respite care, memory classes, healthy living seminars, support groups, tax aide and legal aid clinics are some community resources typically available at the Milwaukie Center.

Recreation Programs

In 'normal' times, the halls of the Milwaukie Center are buzzing with activity. Yoga and fitness classes, woodworking and oil painting workshops, a 50-member ukulele group, Mah Jongg, bingo and bridge groups provide our patrons a warm community atmosphere. The Center also has a billiards room, self-check library and computer stations available.
